January 2017 Luncheon: Business as a force of good: One agency's journey to the triple bottom line

  • Hotel Albuquerque Old Town 800 Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest Albuquerque, NM, 87104 United States

As communicators we search for ways to positively impact our communities. One San Diego agency has done just that. At our January luncheon we'll hear from Founder/Chief Relationships Officer with i.d.e.a., Jonathan Baily as he provides insights about his agency's journey and implementation as a Benefit Corporation (B Corp).

The B Corp designation has been earned by esteemed brands such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Method, Etsy and more than 2,000 others globally. B Corps share a commitment to using the power of business as a force for good. As a company, i.d.e.a. does their share of good in the world as part of this commitment, preparing dinners for a homeless teen shelter, investing thousands in billable hours toward pro bono community service programs, and granting paid time off to their team for volunteer work. They are committed to using less paper, plastic and energy each year, and offset their carbon footprint through reforestation programs to reduce climate change.

i.d.e.a.'s belief is in the Triple Bottom Line: Good for our business. Good for our people.
Good for our planet.

It's the right thing to do
