Elizabeth Zupkow

Elizabeth Zupkow is currently a client campaign manager at Goodway Group where she ensures her clients’ digital advertising efforts are maximized through a mix of science and human expertise. Previously, Zupkow served as a sales and marketing manager for Gannett’s newspaper subscription division and a director of marketing for a regional bank. She got her start in the agency world moving up from assistant to account executive in less than three years. In the AAF community, Elizabeth has served as president, American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) chair, club achievement chair, district directory coordinator, district scholarship chair and district regional director. She’s earned such accolades as AAF Central Georgia Rising Star and AAF District 7 Governor’s Award for volunteer of the year. Zupkow currently resides in Albuquerque, NM with her husband, Ken, and their furbaby, Delta the dog. In her spare time, Elizabeth is an independent fashion consultant for her side business, LuLaRoe, obsessively watches her favorite TV shows and is addicted to Facebook.

Dezaree manages multiple facets of complex projects for an array of clients across multiple industries. With Griffin & Associates for 13 years, Dezaree manages client accounts with budgets that approach a halfmilliond ollars, require measurable results and demand strategic planning.
She has developed campaigns that integrate marketing, public relations, internal communications, social media and advertising that deliver tangible results like increased sales. In addition to overseeing multiple client accounts in industries that range from tourism and finance, to healthcare, retail and commercial development. Aside from serving on several professional association boards, Dezaree enjoys traveling, crafts and cooking.

Theresa D Varela-Martinez
Government Relations
Theresa is an award-winning graphic designer, illustrator and letting artist. Her day job as Creative Director includes creating OOH campaigns for a variety of clients including, Mark Pardo salons, Gildan New Mexico Bowl, Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation, and Sandia Peak Tramway. She is a 2006 Gold ADDY award winner for logo design and has appeared in numerous publications. In 2015 Theresa received corporate recognition for a self promotion campaign.
Theresa holds a BA in Graphic design from the Southwest University of Visual Arts and also owns Silver Swirl Studios, a calligraphy, design, and illustration company. She is a member of the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH), and Past president of her local calligraphy guild, Escribiente. She has served on 3 ADDY awards committees. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband Alan and two children.
DeAnn Sena OConnor

DeAnn Sena OConnor is the Principal and Creative Director at dso creative. A design studio she opened after honing her skills as production manager and art director at Central New Mexico Community College and lead designer Santa Fe Community College. Along with a degree in Graphic Design and Marketing from New Mexico State University, DeAnn has extensive training and experience in the advertising industry though work as a freelance designer for several local and national advertising agencies. She has collaborated with and created ideas for many advertising agencies, independent clients and large corporations for over 15 years. Her clients include New Mexico Appleseed, The Catholic Foundation, Central New Mexico Community College, The Spanish Colonial Arts Society, The National Hispanic Cultural Center, Rejuvitrition, Albuquerque Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Collaborative, Workers’ Compensation Administration, New Mexico Legal Aid and The Albuquerque Community Foundation among others.
She has been recognized with awards from the American Advertising Federation New Mexico, Graphic Design USA Magazine, the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations and the Public Relations Society of America. Most recently she was named as a 2013 Albuquerque Business First Woman of Influence. She served as president of the American Advertising Federation New Mexico in the 2012-2013 year and is currently a board member. She also serves on the New Mexico Kids Matter Inc. Board of Directors.

Sarah Rihani

Sarah Rihani moved to Albuquerque in 1992 from Amman, Jordan. She moved here when she was in second grade speaking little to no English. Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Services (BSHS) and proceeded to work in social work for 4 years, helping disadvantaged youth and their families and working with adults with mental illnesses. She then proceeded to obtain her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix and progressed into her current role doing Property Management for Coronado Center, a mall owned by GGP, A Retail Real Estate Company. Sarah represent all the core values of her company by constantly evolving and instilling humility in everything she does. In her spare time Sarah enjoys attending concerts and spending time with her 11-year-old son and her family and friends.
